Morah, Dubai

Corals in The Clouds.

When the team behind Toronto and Miami's Byblos restaurant decided to expand their Eastern Mediterranean concept to the UAE, they commissioned Navigate to design Morah – a 140-seat restaurant located on the 71st and 72nd floors of the world's tallest hotel, the JW Marriot Marquis Dubai.

What we did for them.

Interior Design

Inspired by the coastal mosaic of the Mediterranean seaboard, Morah's design blends the colours of regional spices with deep sea coral undertones and luxurious textures, to create an upscale destination for the Dubai dining crowd.

Art Curation

Magnificent greens, pinks, and gold foil greet guests upon entry, by way of two oversized paintings finished in thick, glossy resin. Ascending to the lower level, thirty-nine frames of stunning electric-coloured jellyfish, adorned with gold accents hand-painted by the Navigate team, bejewel Morah's long corridors.

Custom Graphics & Area Rugs

Our breathtaking mermaid wall – a marriage of antique mirror, digital printing, and delicate gold leaf applied by Navigate designers onsite – enchants diners. Four custom oval rugs, a mix of wool and viscose in abstractly intertwined mermaid tail patterns, shimmer and shine while adding warmth and absorbing sound.
